I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
